The time has come once again to rally the troops for the most action packed weekend of our entire year. HeroesCon 2013 is coming up fast and we can’t do it without the invaluable contributions of our volunteers.

If you’ve ever wanted to get involved with the machine behind the scenes at your favorite comic convention or are looking
for an opportunity to enhance your weekend, consider signing on to our team! Offer any time that you think you can spare and help us make this year’s HeroesCon the best yet.

In 2013, the room is going to be the largest we have ever had, so the number of volunteers we need has grown as well!

To volunteer for Heroes Convention 2013, just click the link below to fill out the volunteer form. If you have volunteered in the past or have already contacted us about volunteering this year, we will still need for you to fill out the form. This way we can have accurate contact info for everyone as well as confirmation that you will be joining us this year.

We can’t wait to hear from you!

If you like Rockem Sockem Robots, but always wished they were the size of houses and you could place bets on them, REAL STEEL is the answer!

Heroes Aren’t Hard to Find has got tickets for the advanced preview of the Hugh Jackman ROBO-EXTRAVAGANZA  on Wednesday, September 14th at 7pm.

Just come by the store and mention this post for a ticket for two.  Just don’t tell our mechanical overlords.

50/50 chance of a free movie!

Holy statistics guys! We’ve got passes to 50/50, Seth Rogan’s new movie with Joseph Gordon-Levitt about a twenty-somethings struggle with cancer. Sure to be a light hearted look at a serious disease.

Be sure to stop by the store for a pass. The show is on Tuesday, August 16th at 7:30 pm. Also, the passes this time are admit one (1) rather than the traditional two (2). Have a great weekend everybody!

It’s that time again! San Diego Comic-Con is upon us and Shelton will be heading out first thing Wednesday morning to join the frenzy. He’s scouting for great guests for Heroes Convention’s big 30th anniversary show next year, June 22nd – 24th! If you have any sugestions for the boss be sure to let us know by e-mailing me here. If any of our loyal custies have any requests for comic-con exclusives they can e-mail me directly. Keep in mind that all requests are limited by availability and time constraints, so you might not get what you request even if you throw your hat in the ring first. But if you don’t ask you’ll never know! So be sure to send in any requests before Friday the 22nd and Shelton will do his best (assisted by the ever-gleeful Matt Knapik!) to fufill your wish lists. And don’t forget to wish our very own Bridgit “Good Luck!” while she’s at the convention promoting her web comic, Brother Nash.

Free Comic Book Day is tomorrow and the weather man has promised an absolutely gorgeous day! Heroes has a few last minute giveaways and incentives for all of you true believers out there. In local news, VisArt Video is offering a free movie rental to our first 30 customers that spend $15 dollars or more tomorrow. And the neighborhood fun doesn’t stop there! Jackalope Jack’s has informed us that anyone presenting their Heroes FCBD receipt will receive 20% off on their meal TOMORROW ONLY! Help support our local businesses while you enjoy a beautiful spring day filled with comics, art and fun! You can also pick up a pre-screening ticket for the new movie Priest, a TokyoPop production next Thursday or Bridesmaids, starring Kristen Wiig this Tuesday. These tickets are extremely limited so be sure to ask for them when you get to the register! Just say “I saw it on HeroesOnline!”
