We are happy to announce Kevin Nowlan will be returning to HeroesCon in 2011!  This will be his first time back to HeroesCon since 2002!  Kevin is an artist who can and has done it all. In a business where disciplines are frequently divided among many, Kevin learned them all and learned them well. Writing, lettering, logo design, character design for animation and statues, pencilling, inking, coloring, and painting, Kevin makes them all look easy.  His first comic work worth mentioning (according to Kevin), Grimwood’s Daughter was recently collected with tons of great extras. Kevin is also the co-creator of Jack B. Quick, a great “boy genius” character who appeared in Alan Moore‘s Tomorrow Stories.

As for superheroes, Kevin has illustrated Batman, Superman, Moon Knight, Doctor Strange, and many others. His work on the Outsiders Annual in 1986 influenced a generation of comic artists. Also of note are the angular character designs Kevin produced for many of the villains in Batman’s rogues gallery for Batman: The Animated Series which provided the perfect foil for Bruce Timm‘s softer style.

Later this year look for Kevin’s latest collaboration with old friend and fellow HeroesCon 2011 guest Mike Mignola in Hellboy: Buster Oakley Gets His Wish from Dark Horse comics.  The advanced art looks fantastic!
