Alley Oop Book 4 from Manuscript Press. This is from 1949 (The series height)They follow the three Kitchen Sink Volumes 1946-49.

WARNING: Oop is undoubtedly the most underated comic strip EVER. Once you start reading it you are hooked.
If I ever won the lottery, I would publish the Alley Oop Sunday pages (seperate continuity and/or short adventure gag strips) in their original size. Hamlin–aside from being a clever story teller was a great big foot artist who deserves to be spoken of in the same breath as Segar, Sterrett, Kent and Kelly
