HEROESCON 2012 :: THANK YOU!!
![]()
Wow! HeroesCon 2012 is officially in the books. Aside from a few things in our warehouse that need to be shipped back to creators that attended the show, there are few signs left of the amazing weekend we just shared with everyone who attended our 30th Anniversary show. We’d like to say thank you to all of the guests of the show, all the talented folks promoting new projects in Artists Alley, every fan that attended, the well-stocked exhibitors, all the selfless volunteers, and our amazing staff for making last weekend’s show what it was. If you were here you know it was really something special. If you weren’t here we’ll see you in 2013, June 7-9, start planning! We were truly overwhelmed by the outpouring of love we witnessed at HeroesCon this year. The love for comics and art and for the people that make them was astounding. We’ll see you all next year, same deal as always, no movie companies, no video game companies, just comic books and the people that create and love them.

Thank you guys! Shelton, for sticking with it for 30 years, Rico for making it look great, Andy for the best panels I’ve ever seen at the con, Shelley for awesome crowd control on Saturday, and everyone else from the store who made it another fun one. I’m looking forward to next year.
Another great con… I had a blast. I am already getting hyped for next year. To coin a phrase from the “house of ideas”, Make mine Heroes!
This year was a great convention. I got a glimpse of Stan Lee (best I could do), bought some good comics Secret Wars #8, Amazing Spiderman Annual #21 (wedding issue), Booster Gold #1 (first appearance), Amazing Spidergirl #0 & #1, and plus a ton of others
Fantastic this year! It’s hard to believe but it actually seems to get better every year.
My 4 year old son, who is a huge superhero fan, had a great time. We actually got to hang out with Neal Adams for a bit (WOW!).
Of course his all time favorite part of the day was meeting a guy dressed as a 1970’s era Batman costume as we were leaving for the day. He’s told everyone he’s seen since then that he met the real Batman. I don’t know who that guy was, but his costume was the best I’ve ever seen.
Anyway, great show this year, and cant wait for the next one!
