HEROES CONVENTION was founded in 1982 by Shelton Drum, owner of Charlotte's Heroes Aren't Hard To Find comics shop. Since then the convention has become famous for its comics-first and family-friendly atmosphere, where fans can mingle directly with professionals and exhibitors. Boasting an incredible guest list built mainly on reputation and goodwill, HeroesCon is known nationwide as a "must" on the summer schedule, drawing fans, exhibitors, and creators from every region of the country to the Charlotte Convention Center.

ARTIST ALLEY APPLICANTS:
We have received FAR MORE Artist Alley Applications than there are available table spaces, and applications are now CLOSED for the 2026 Heroes Convention.
If you have completed an application at this time, and HAVE NOT received an invoice, you are ON THE WAITING LIST.
We currently have over 120 Applications on the waiting list, and tables will only be issued at this time in the event that a current Artist Alley Table Reservation should cancel.
We will fill any cancellations from our waiting list in the order the applications were submitted.
ARTIST ALLEY TABLES ARE LIMITED
Completing an application does NOT guarantee a table at the 2026 Heroes Convention.

Our small, hardworking, staff couldn’t pull it off each year without the help of our dedicated volunteers, lovingly nicknamed “Kibby’s Sidekicks” in memory of our friend, and HeroesCon Volunteer Extraordinare, Charles Kibby.
If you would like to sign up to be a Sidekick at our 2026 show,
