TEACHING COMICS FORUM:  THE SUPERHERO MOVIES
It seems as though comic fans spend just as much time talking about superhero movies as they do about the comic books that inspired them.  So, it is high time we got our brain trust together to discuss THE SUPERHERO MOVIES.  What were good, what were bad, what were ugly, but more importantly, why??  We will explore the challenge of FILM ADAPTATIONS with the expectations from an audience that is so knowledgeable about the film’s source material.  Are the movies trying to be comic books?  Should they? Heroes’ resident cartoonist and film buff Justin Crouse sits down with Titan Editor Steve SaffelHogan's Alley editor Tom Heintjes, bestselling author Mark VazStergio Botzakis (Film Prof--U of Tennessee), Mike Kobre (Queens U), Carlton Hargro and Mark Washburn (media critic for the Charlotte Observer) to discuss these and many moretopics.  There should be plenty to talk about at this one.  What a great way to end a great weekend!
