UPDATE2021-CLTMCMASK-UP-VACCINE-CARD-NEG-TEST

HEALTH & SAFETY MEASURES:

We hope you are all as excited as we are for the Heroes Giant-Size Charlotte Mini-Con coming up this November 6-7!

After much consideration, paying close attention to state and local guidelines, and in an effort to make our event safe and enjoyable for everyone in attendance, we will be requiring masks, and proof of an authorized Covid-19 vaccination, or a valid negative test result within 72 hours of entry.

Kid-Hero-with-MaskThis includes all ticket holders, vendors, artists, and staff. This will be checked on both days of the convention, and during vendor set up on Friday, November 5. Those who cannot produce either a proof of vaccination or a negative test result will not be allowed entry to the show.

Heroes will also require all convention attendees to wear a visible mask that covers the nose and mouth while inside the premises of the Charlotte Convention Center. (Costumed attendees must also wear a visible protective mask covering the nose and mouth.) This is in accordance with the Mecklenburg Board of County Commissioners directive placed on 8/31/2021, which requires that masks be worn by all individuals indoors. This covers all areas of the convention center, including the entrances, concourses, convention halls, and loading docks during the event, as well as hours of set up and break down.

We ask that all attendees continue to be mindful of social distancing during this event. It is important to note that we will follow any and all updates to local Covid policies. Any updates in our policy will be immediately posted to our website and social media.

We appreciate your understanding, and look forward to a great Giant-Size Charlotte Mini-Con, and things getting back to normal as we head toward the 40th Anniversary of the Heroes Convention June 24-26, 2022.

SAFE SHOPPING UPDATES :: INCREASING CAPACITY, STILL WEARING MASKS

May 14, 2021 By: Karla Southern Category: DISCUSS, Feast Your Eyes, Heroes Aren't Hard To Find, Looking Ahead, NEWS, Now Read This!, Opinion, Where Do I Start?

FRIDAY, MAY 14, 2021

KEEP-WEARING-THAT-MASK
SAFE SHOPPING GUIDELINES

People are getting vaccinated which is a TREMENDOUS STEP in the right direction!

Things are slowly inching back toward some degree of “normal”,
or at least toward a “new normal”.
Almost everyone on our staff has been vaccinated,
and we encourage you to do the same!

We are as excited as anyone to get back to that sweet pre-pandemic life, but we will continue to observe the following safety precautions as we begin to ease up on restrictions within our store.

We understand that Governor Cooper lifted the Mask Mandate for North Carolina earlier today.

However, at this time, we would like to exercise caution before we lift the mask requirement in our store.

Heroes will continue to maintain the following Safety Protocols for a safe shopping experience!

  • We ask that EVERYONE (including staff) continue to wear a mask while shopping or working inside of our store.
Even if you’re only coming in for ONE ITEM.
    No mask = NO ENTRY.
If you do not have a mask, one can be provided to you.

We understand some of you will not want to wear a mask and, while we understand that is your personal preference, you will not be permitted in our store without a mask at this time.
We appreciate your patience, understanding and consideration for everyone’s safety at this time. If you do not want to wear a mask, or if you would prefer not to come inside the store until we have lifted our mask policy, we are happy to arrange shipping for books.)

  • We have increased the capacity of our store to 30.
    This number includes employees.
We will increase this number toward “Full Capacity” over the next few weeks as long as there are no surges in COVID cases in our state.

  • We will continue to provide hand sanitizer for you to use upon entering and exiting the store.

  • Please be respectful of social distance while in our store.
Please be courteous to your fellow customers and try to allow for at least five feet of distance between yourself and others. Let’s face it, it’s just GOOD MANNERS.

  • We will continue to sanitize and wash our hands as often as possible.

  • WE ASK THAT ANYONE WHO FEELS UNWELL TO PLEASE STAY HOME. (This includes our staff!)
We can ship to anywhere in the United States and are happy to arrange a safe transaction for you! Just let us know!

  • WE CAN SHIP!!
We can ship to anyone, anywhere! If you’d like to send a Christmas Gift to a family member in another state, we can ship directly to them!!

  • OUR HOURS UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE:
    Monday-Tuesday & Thursday-Saturday: 10am-7pm

    Wednesday: 10am-9pm
    Sunday: 1pm-6pm

  • We ask customers to limit their time in our store.
Due to capacity restrictions, we ask that customers please limit their time spent in-store for the time being. We also long for the days of leisurely browsing and visiting with one another, but for now, it’s safer for everyone to plan ahead and make trips as brief as possible. This will also help us prevent wait-times for others if the store is at capacity.

Heroes received the first shipment of NEW COMICS since March 25 today, Wednesday, May 20.

  • We will limit the number of people allowed in the store to NO MORE THAN 3 people at a time.
Until further notice we are limiting access inside the store. We will provide access to NEW product on racks located just inside the front door and the counter, but we will discourage browsing the racks until further notice. If you would like us to check the rack for a previous issue or trade, we are happy to do that for you! We do this to limit your exposure as well as our own during this opening period.

  • We ask that customers limit their time in our store for now.
There will be plenty of time for browsing and visiting with one another once restrictions have been lifted and circumstances have improved. For now, in an effort to prevent customer wait-times and attend to as many customers as possible in a timely manner, we ask that you make your visit as brief as possible.

  • Everyone (including staff) will be required to wear a mask while shopping or working inside of our store.
If you do not have a mask, one can be provided to you.

  • During this time we ask customers to be mindful of how much they handle books and other product.
While we will be sanitizing all surfaces and high-contact areas as frequently as possible, we cannot sanitize comic books without causing damage. We ask that customers please be mindful of items as they handle them, and wash their hands or use hand sanitizer after contact.

HEROESCON 2020 – June 19-21: We are monitoring current events and recommendations very closely and will do whatever is necessary to ensure the health and safety of our Guests and Attendees. We will adhere to any and all CDC protocols and make any adjustments necessary. Keep us on your calendar for June 19-21 until further notice!

  2. Use hand sanitizer if soap and water aren’t available.
  3. Avoid touching your face with unwashed hands, particularly your eyes, nose and mouth.
